THELAB of representation in architecture

This course aims to examine the methods and methodologies for expressing the generative ideas of architectural design projects. The conception of representation in architecture will be questioned through readings, workshops and seminars in the class as a laboratory. The participants of the course will try various tools such as collage, montage, assemblage, short movie, diagrammatic and fragmented expressions. The final project will be a portfolio exhibition combined by the portfolios of each participant. As a part of the final project, the exhibition itself will be also a collective representation task. The main intention of this course, in this sense, is to provide students with experimental knowledge to discover distinctive ways of representing ‘architectures’.
